The second edition of Max Fraser’s London Design Guide, which hits shelves next week, offers a handy guidebook to London for the design-conscious among you (which should hopefully be all of you…).

An update of 2009’s inaugural LDG, this year’s edition features updated reviews, new recommendations for shops, restaurants and cafés and a new 16-page section featuring the top furniture, lighting and accessories available in-store.

There will be neighbourhood walking tours compiled by the likes of Tom Dixon and SCP’s Sheridan Coakley and essays from journalist Hugh Pearman, curator Libby Sellers and others.

The book is designed by Richard Ardagh of Elephants’ Graveyard, who also worked on the previous edition, and Peter Crawley created a stitched illustration for the cover.

The 2012-2013 edition of the London Design Guide, edited by Max Fraser, is published by Spotlight Press on 15 September, priced at £12.
