An A – Z of movie knowledge

Sure to delight film buffs, know-it-alls and pub quiz enthusiasts, this week sees the launch of the Film Alphabet movie quiz iPhone app.

Billed as ‘quizzing your movie knowledge from A to Z’, the app has been created by consultancy Wildish&Co and digital group Synth Media.

The app’s design is based on Wildish&Co’s Film Alphabet posters, and uses a hangman-style interface, meaning that three wrong answers effectively ensure the user’s on-screen death.

Choose questions from a number of decades or genres.

Questions cover genres and decades including Action, Adaptation, Bond, Comedy, Christmas, Horror, Sci-fi, Superhero and War.

Four Weddings and a Funeral

Users will be questioned on films from 1950s to the present day.

The app features questions on more than 200 films

Steve Wildish, Wildish&co chief executive, says, ‘We wanted to make sure that the Film Alphabet app was true to the style of the minimal artwork, therefore you wont find any adverts, game requests or anything unnecessary in the app to put you off the main aim, guessing the movie. I’ve found it to be an instant pub table winner.’
