The new framework will feature up to seven consultancies and comes as the BBC’s Online design roster, which was set up in 2011 and features 15 consultancies, expires this year.

The previous roster featured Airlock, Codegent, Collective, Critical Mass, Fjord, Huge, Made by Many, Magnetic North, Massive Interactive, Organic, R/GA, Research Studios, RKCR, TH_NK and Tui Interactive Media.

For its new framework, the BBC says it is seeking consultancies to work on visual design, interaction design, user experience and other projects across touchpoints including standalone applications and websites.

The BBC says it is aiming to shortlist between 20 and 30 consultancies before finalising the framework.

The deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 7 October and shortlisted consultancies will be informed on 6 November. For more information and to apply visit ted.europa.eu.

The BBC has recently appointed Kiosk founder David Bailey as creative director for Global Experience Language, a role that will see him working across all the BBC’s digital touchpoints.
