Let’s protect education from the brunt of the cuts
I completely agree with Lynda Relph-Knight’s editor’s blog (www.designweek.co.uk, 9 July).
I detest the way the Government has chosen education as one the areas in which it is making big cuts. It is a short-term solution, where the economy will suffer even more later, when the skills, or the emerging talent, are nowhere to be found just when they are needed the most.
I would support any campaign that helps future generations and education institutions. Maybe there is a possibility of leveraging emerging talent alongside sponsored real-time briefs, in conjunction with established groups?
Whatever we do, let’s make it work together for the future generations coming through.
