Mark Studio briefed to work on Christian Aid Week campaign

Mark Studio has been appointed to create the identity and campaign work for next year’s Christian Aid Week.

The event, which is held in May, raises money to elevate poor communities out of poverty and generates 15 per cent of Christian Aid’s income.

Mark Studio was appointed five weeks ago following a three-way paid creative pitch.

The consultancy has been tasked with creating an ’inspirational’ identity and will work with the charity’s in-house design team to create promotional materials for the 2011 event, says Mark Studio creative director Mark Lester.

Mark Studio was briefed to create a warm look and feel that conveys the permanent transformation that Christian Aid Week can bring to poor communities.

Lester says, ’It’s an ideal opportunity to emphasise the human connection between efforts during Christian Aid Week here and the effect it has on others. This is a universal human story and connections between communities will be a key output of this work.’

The identity, which will roll out early next year, will be seen across Christian Aid Week’s promotional materials, including print collateral, films, prayer and action cards, social media and the 15 million collection envelopes that are delivered to homes across the UK.
