Morey Smith designs Moët Hennessy UK HQ

Morey Smith is working on the interior design for wines and spirits brand Moët Hennessy UK’s new London office in Victoria.

The brand is set to move offices from its current Grosvenor Crescent location, where it has been for 35 years, to a new site in nearby Grosvenor Gardens.

The work will see Morey Smith refurbish the 1700m2 Grade II-listed, two-storey Georgian building. A new staircase will be installed, with the existing one being demolished, while Georgian detailing will be introduced into the interior through architraving, picture rails and other elements.

The new offices will feature a bar, a showcase area, an entertaining space, a boardroom and a flexible work-space. Morey Smith will specify new furniture as well as antique pieces.

Jo Thornton, managing director of Moët Hennessy UK, says, ‘We are creating an inspirational, collaborative and functional work environment for our employees and a comfortable an interesting entertainment space for clients and visitors.’

The new offices are set to open in January 2012.
