Blue Bottle
 

Pearlfisher has designed new branding and packaging for Blue Bottle Coffee’s New Orleans Iced Coffee, which is sold throughout the US. The new packs use a milk-carton design to create a ‘crafted feel’, says Pearlfisher.

DesignStudio has appointed Paul Dixon as director of motion at its London offices. Dixon was previously director of MoveShakeMake.

Enotria
 

The Plant has rebranded wine wholesaler Enotria. The new designs are based around the statement ‘great wine inspiring people’. A new colour palette has been introduced that aims to be ‘fresh, and vaguely suggestive of wine but not too muddy’, according to The Plant. The new logotype uses the Lyon typeface.

Richard Gammon has been appointed global director of aviation and transport at HOK. Gammon joined HOK in 2011 as the director of aviation and transport for the firm’s London office and a member of the office’s management board.

One Kensington
 

B3 Designers has created the branding and interiors for new west London restaurant One Kensington. Features include high carved vaulted ceilings, wood paneling and double height windows within the Grade II listed, late Gothic revival Victorian building.

Sun Branding Solutions has appointed Julie Hall as sales director. Prior to Sun Branding Solutions, Hall was sales director at GreenBottle Ltd., a start-up liquid packaging business.

Leeds College of Art students Burden&Franc have designed the printed materials and campaign for Steinway Hall and Leeds College of Music’s 210 Years in the Making event, which celebrates 210 years of creating world class pianos and musicians’, according to organisers.  

Design LSM has created the branding and interiors for Red Dog South, an American BBQ restaurant opening next week in Clapham, South London.

Cambridgeshire-based product design and development consultancy 42 Technology has helped Crowcon Detection Instruments company to develop I-Test – a new system that tests and re-calibrates gas safety monitors.

StartJG has created new branding for Airport City Manchester. The designs are based around the idea of ‘intelligent connectivity’, positioning the development as ‘the world’s intelligent business destination, and building on values of ‘intelligence’, ‘growth’, ‘quality’ and ‘connectivity’, says StartJG.

999 Design has been appointed to create the look and feel for the Summer Festival 2014 at Kew Gardens. The festival runs from 24 May – 7 September.

Firedog has designed a new website for Imperial College Business School [http://wwwf.imperial.ac.uk/business-school/. The consultancy says, ‘The Business School wanted to be recognised as a global brand in its own right, rather than merely a part of Imperial College.’ This was achieved by replacing the dual navigation system, making the site highly responsive and switching to WordPress CMS.

The European Commission has launched the European Design Innovation Platform (EDIP) in Brussels – a project aiming to increase the use of design for innovation and growth across Europe. JDO has designed an anniversary logo for Norwegian soft drink brand Solo to marks its 80th year. The ‘S’ of Solo has been changed to an ‘8’ to read 80.

Imagination’s retail, hotels and restaurants arm Virgile & Partners has redesigned the Continental Hotel in Belgrade, Serbia, creating a new Crowne Plaza Hotel. ‘The design approach celebrates the original vast spaces and concrete interior volumes whilst subtlety introducing, the warm and welcoming ambiance luxury global travellers expect today’, says the consultancy.
