Smithwicks
 

JDO has designed the packaging for a new range of Smithwick’s craft beers for Diageo, Ireland. The designs for Winter Spirit Ale, the first in the range to launch, use orange and copper tones to reflect the colour of the ale itself.

Aesop has acquired digital consultancy Story UK. Story UK will now operate out of Aesop’s London office, and key staff include Nick Dutnall, head of health; Igor Pancaldi, creative director and Stephanie Waismann, head of planning.

Kai and Sunny Johnnie Walker Blue Label
 

Illustration duo Kai & Sunny has worked with Shotopop to create a holographic artwork for Johnnie Walker Blue Label whisky. These form a 3D promotional display to be used in airports worldwide, including London Heathrow.

The Science Museum and Touch Press has created the Journeys of Invention app, which enables users to ‘study, rotate and even operate some of the greatest scientific inventions of all time’, according to the museum. More than 80 interactive objects from the Science Museum’s collection are featured.

Eco Farmhouse stationery
 

Pearlfisher’s New York office has created the branding for Eco Farmhouses, a new luxury real estate concept in Bodrum, Turkey. The identity uses an infinity symbol graphic to reflect ‘the longevity of sustainable living and the continuous loop of the organic experience that this development aspires to’, according to Pearlfisher.

Portland has been appointed to refurbish Norway’s Stavanger Airport. The consultancy will provide the airport with strategic commercial planning guidance and a conceptual design vision for the expansion of the terminal building, both domestic and international.

Consultancy Knit has created a digital interactive shop window for menswear store Jonathan Trumbull. The window, titled Face in the Snow, uses facial recognition technology, which posts shoppers’ photographs to Facebook, as well as a mounted LED screen with digital ‘falling snow’ and blizzard sound effects.

Powell Allen has rebranded luxury yacht firm Alen Yacht. According to the consultancy, the new look ‘denotes purity and quality’ and ‘captures the serene lap of a wave’.

Jordan Design has been appointed to develop 3D Design Guidelines in travel retail for Dominican Republic rum Brugal, which is owned by Scottish spirit producer Edrington.

The project to build a Heath Robinson museum in North London has been awarded a £1,133,100 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Museum will display and make accessible the only significant public collection of work by the artist, cartoonist and illustrator.

RR Spink Smoked Salmon
 

Consultancy Good has designed new packaging for Smoked fish brand RR. Spink & Sons. The packs have a wood effect, aiming to reference the ‘natural methods used in the product range’, says Good.

The Stamp Shop
 

Household has designed The Christmas Stamp Shop, a pop-up for Royal Mail where shoppers can buy and create their own stamps, and hang Christmas wishes in a ‘wishing forest’.

Bournemouth-based consultancy RedWeb has designed a new, fully responsive homepage for Cancer Research UK. The design includes new ‘calls to action’, and a reimagined donations channel optimised for mobile, desktop and tablet devices.

Abrachan
 

Consultancy Contagious has designed the packaging for Lidl’s own-brand blended malt Scotch whisky, Abrachan. The designs use a grey, gold and white colour palette, and the labels are finished with gold foil, emboss and spot varnish.

Delete has designed a digital interactive weaning guide for babyfood brand Ella’s Kitchen. The guide can be accessed from desktop, tablet and mobile devices.

Codorniu Winter Edition
 

ButterflyCannon has designed the limited-edition Winter bottle designs for Codorníu cava. The bottles feature ‘extra celebratory, snowy, sparkle’, according to the consultancy.

Smack has been appointed by Turkish Airlines to create an iPad edition of its in-flight magazine Skylife. The digital edition aims to create ‘a more relaxed experience to reflect the mindset of its air-bound audience’, says Smack.

Canalside Cottages
 

Glasgow-based consultancy KVGD has designed the branding for Canalside Cottages. The consultancy was commissioned by Scottish Canals, and created designs using a graphic featuring an anchor, a tree and a bike.

Design think-tank and foundation Be Open is to launch Made in India, a new showcase of Indian design opening in New Delhi in February 2014, aimed at supporting and preserving handmade crafts and skills.

EweMove franchise brochure
 

Manchester-based consultancy 22 Group has designed the franchisee pack and brochure for selling and letting agent Ewemove. 22 Group had previously designed the Ewemove website and Facebook app.

Code Computerlove has worked with pet charity PDSA to create the PDSA Big Pet Check including a new microsite, animated video and interactive quiz, aimed at educating pet owners.
