Scottish public sector framework extended

The 10 consultancy-strong Scottish public sector design framework, which had been due to expire in March, is being extended by six months as the Scottish Government tenders for a new framework.

Consultancies Avian, The Big Partnership, Kindle Design, The Leith Agency, Weber Shandwick, Hampton Associates, Lawrence Creative, Stand, Tayburn and Mortonward were all originally appointed to the design lot of the Scottish Ministers Marketing Services Framework Agreement.

The work covers design projects for the Scottish Ministers, Scottish non-departmental public bodies, the Scotland Office, special health boards and other public-sector groups.

Instead of expiring in March, as originally planned, the framework has now been extended until September.

It is understood that the current framework will then be replaced by two new frameworks, which are currently being tendered.

The existing framework also covers marketing services including public relations, research and events, and the total value of the extension is £2.5 million.
