The Milton and Seymour show
Kemistry Gallery is set to show projects by Milton Glaser and Seymour Chwast, in what it says is the first London show of their work for 40 years.
The gallery will be showing posters, illustrations and graphics from the Push Pin pair in September.
This will range from rarely seen sketches from the early days of Push Pin – since its formation in the 1950s – up until more recent work, with Push Pin now operated by Chwast.
Several editions of the Push Pin press, published bi-monthly by the studio, will also be on show.
Kemistry Gallery co-founder Graham McCallum says, ‘As a young designer I went to a talk Milton and Seymour gave in London. They epitomised to me what being a designer was all about.
‘They created work that was so fresh, intelligent, witty, thought-provoking and beautifully executed, I was in awe.’
The Seymour & Milton Posters Show is at Kemistry Gallery, 43 Charlotte Road, London EC2A, from 19 September-2 November.
