• Good Morning Freedom! Spanish Cinema After Franco season at the BFI

DW caught a BFI screening of Pedro Almodóvar’s debut film Pepi, Luci, Bom, which features fashion and graphics from La Movida Madrileña alongside typical Almodóvar transgressions such as golden showers and violent lesbian Punk bands. The season runs until 7 July.

• Pablo Bronstein: Sketches for Regency Living at the ICA

If you haven’t caught Pablo Bronstein’s show yet, you’re in for a treat. The architectural sketches draw on London’s Regency history and that of the ICA, adorning the building with drawings, installations, sculptures and even intermittent ballet performances to accompany the images.

• Villainous Visard T-shirts

T-shirt brand Villainous Visard has designed a range of shirts based around masks, villains and the idea that we all are, metaphorically speaking, wearing masks. Inspiration is drawn from comic-book villains, music and Japanese street wear, using bold graphics, slogans and a strict black-and-white palette.

• Illustrator Katie Scott

The work of Brighton Illustration course graduate Katie Scott caught our art director’s eye. She has developed a distinctive style, combining anatomical and botanical elements into fantastical forms, taking influence from scientific textbooks and psychedelic imagery. This is original and beautifully produced work.
