Interactive consultancy AKQA was founded in 2001 by Ajaz Ahmed and James Hilton. In June this year it was bought by WPP in a deal worth nearly £350 million. The consultancy currently employs around 1160 people in 10 offices across Europe, the US and Asia. It works across design, branding, marketing and strategy for clients including Nike, Heineken and Gap.
