Pearson Lloyd to design Designers Saturday poster

Office furniture design event Designers Saturday has appointed design consultancy Pearson Lloyd to create this year’s show poster.

The poster design will be unveiled at the opening, at 11 showroom locations in central London at the end of next month.

The announcement follows a tradition, whereby well-known designers or design studios are invited to create a poster – many of which are now collectors’ items.

Previous posters have been designed by graphic designer Alan Fletcher – who designed the 1982 poster – and painter/printmaker Patrick Hughes, who created the 1983 poster.

The posters will be given to all attendees, and limited edition copies have been set aside for VIP guests.

The 11 companies participating this year will be Ahrend, Bisley, Faram, Haworth, Herman Miller, Humanscale, KI, Kinnarps, Knoll, Sedus and Steelcase.

Designers Saturday 2008 will take place on 26-27 September at the showrooms of these companies.
