The Designers Society has been formed by a selection of design students at the University of Plymouth to get people together, whatever the creative background and to help creative minded people become the best they can be. Our main focus is a series of guest lectures from leading professionals and ex-graduates showcasing their work and discussing their experiences in design. We are offering Design Week subscribers 50% discounted entry into our lectures..

No matter how long you have been in the industry, as creatives we are always learning and this is a great way of expanding our design knowledge and growing. By seeing people who work in areas completely different to our own we rethink our approaches to design.

Lectures start at 5pm followed by a Q+A session plus drinks reception finishing around 7.30pm.

Leading a creative life is a privilege as we provide the connections between people and affect change for the better. What a great way to meet new creative friends, network, see new ways of design and learn all at the same time!

If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch or see our website for more details about future events. www.designers-society.co.uk or email designers.society@gmail.com

Mistaken beliefs and how to change them. This talk will invite you to ask yourself, “Where do I sell myself short?” Liz Wren, former business principle at Wren & Rowe and owner of mentoring and coaching consultancy, Through the Forest, will expand on May’s breakfast theme of the strategic potential of designers and recognising the value you bring to businesses.
