As part of Design Week’s media partnership with Designjunction, we’re offering someone the chance to win two free, VIP tickets to this year’s four-day show.
Designjunction takes place 20-23 September across three venues on London’s Southbank, a new location for the trade show and exhibition, which is now in its eighth year. It runs at the same time as London Design Festival.
Alongside being a huge showcase of design exhibitors, displaying everything from lamps and chairs through to stationery, prints and jewellery, Designjunction has expanded into being a space for creative projects too. It now has exhibitions, installations and a talks programme, which are all included within the price of the ticket.
Highlights from this year include the Mud Shell installation, a housing prototype for emergency situations developed by architect Stephanie Chaltiel, and the Gateway to Inclusion, a colourful walkway structure designed by Lisa White and François Dumas. Read Design Week’s round-up of Designjunction installations here.
A talks programme will see speakers such as Benjamin Hubert, founder at product design studio Layer and Sarah Weir, CEO at the Design Council, and will tackle topics such as design activism, sustainability and designing for urban cities.
The three locations for the fair this year are Doon Street, SE1 9PU, focused on furniture, lighting and shops; Oxo Tower Wharf, SE1 9PH, devoted to special projects, exhibitions and talks; and Riverside Walkway, SE1 9LT, where outdoor installations will be based.
Platinum Pass tickets normally cost the public £25 each, and alongside allowing entry into all events across the four-day show, they also provide free guided tours and entry to the VIP opening party on 19 September.
