DIARY

One designer appeared in the garden of a total stranger. And another ended up in the middle of an unknown field. But it was all in a good cause: raising money to help besieged Bosnians. Staff from London consultancy The Formation celebrated their first anniversary last week with a parachute jump. It was a rather fitting gesture, as the company logo includes a plane and the managing director is “obsessed with flying”, according to studio manager Joanna Harper.

A grand total of 1500 and much hair was raised. “The moment I flung myself out was terrifying, but I was told to go and there was only one way out,” says Harper.
