Industry bodies prove it’s good to talk

The Chartered Society of Designers has featured often in Design Week of late. The last two presidents have resigned, both seemingly disillusioned by the CSD’s bureaucratic nature, and its failure to embrace unity with the other industry groups.

True to form, the message that the most recent ex-president, Adrianne LeMan, had resigned took a while to filter through to the other industry bodies.

Asked for a comment on LeMan’s departure, one spokesman for the Design Council responded in typically well-informed fashion. ‘Oh shit. I wonder if we knew that. Thanks for the information.’
