Holmes & Marchant International has filled its vacant creative director’s chair, after more than a year of looking, with former Tutssels Enterprise IG creative director of consumer brands Nick Hanson.

HMI executive creative Gerry O’Dwyer says that one of the difficulties in recruiting a new creative director was finding a designer who recognised the importance of 3D as well as 2D. ‘It isn’t just about surface decoration, graphics must work with structure,’ he says.

Hanson assumed the position of creative director of graphic design last week.
