Armageddon is the only way to stop the advancing consumer armies

Hats off to Mark Epton for his comment (Letters DW 4 June). We can discuss industry and design as long as we like, but his comments are really all that matter.

Just one fault with it, consumerism is not fostered by design, but the other way around. Money markets are the fuel behind it all.

I have often questioned my role in the consumerism that I find hard to stomach. Only two things could stop this “progress”: Marxism (no chance) or Armageddon, followed by the swift restoration of God’s Kingdom!
