Its jewellery scholars need to get a grip

Is it a necklace? Is it a tongue clamp? Does it dig out bits of dirt from under your nails?

Central St Martins’ jewellery design course kindly sent us an unidentified object attached to information on its June degree show, morph 02, and a selection of suggestions for its use. These include a ‘money clip’ – I think they mean notes, if only we had any – and a ‘clip for shirt’. The cheap-looking metal clasp features a finger print – presumably from when one of the course’s number got fingered.

Stick to fashion design, sweeties. It’s what you’re best at, after all.
