Audi to repeat youth design competition

Silver Street Audi in Taunton, Somerset, is to build on the success of its inaugural Young Designer of the Year, launched last year, by running the competition for a second time.

Nineteen-year-old Peter Bayfield won the first set of awards and recently returned from a visit to Germany, courtesy of the Audi Foundation, an organisation established by Audi UK to encourage young British designers.

Silver Street Audi sales manager Peter Underhill says: “Our event allows us to promote the Audi philosophy of Vorsprung durch Technik, which translates to progress through technology. Therefore, we are able to encourage young people in engineering and design in our area.”
