Touchbase with Corporate Edge

Corporate Edge has created the identity and interiors for Touchbase, Whitbread Hotel Company’s serviced office concept launching next week.

Whitbread is spending £70m developing 100 Touchbase centres alongside Whitbread-owned Travel Inns nationwide.

The centres, the first of which will open in Swindon and Mansfield, are aimed at the business traveller and offer Internet-enabled workstations and formal and informal meeting rooms.

Customers will pay an hourly rate of £5 for use of the workstations and up to £320 per day for the hire of the meeting rooms.

Corporate Edge has developed the strategy and positioning and name and identity for the centres.

The design consultancy worked closely with Whitbread’s in-house design team in creating the interiors, according to Bridget Ruffel, managing director of Corporate Edge’s corporate branding division.

The work follows Corporate Edge’s rebranding of the Travel Inn network and interior design of more than 250 Travel Inn sites, the final rollouts for which were completed at the end of last year.

Whitbread Hotel Company is one of the UK’s largest hotel groups operating over 320 hotels with a focus on the upmarket and budget sectors.
