Northcross on a spending spree

Acquisitive Scottish design consultancy Northcross was in the process of buying two further companies as Design Week went to press.

Two weeks ago Northcross paid a six-figure sum for exhibition company Isys, in a deal which gave the merged group a predicted annual turnover of 5m.

John Slater, managing director of the Edinburgh consultancy, confirmed then that the company was considering further acquisitions.

The group is now thought to have finalised at least one more deal, and to be well advanced on a second. Slater says that the companies in question, both located in England, complement each other well. “One is a very strong creative team and the other a very strong management team,” he says. Northcross also stands to gain a substantial client base, says Slater.

Northcross has created a corporate identity for the Gokarna Park Golf Resort in Kathmandu, Nepal. The identity focuses on the fact that the site was previously part of the King of Nepal’s deer forest.
