FUTURE DATES

Total publishing is holding several seminar sessions on 1 and 2 July. Headlining will be The Total Publishing Design Challenge: Peter Green, art director of Maxim, James Summerville, managing director of The Attik Design, and the design team of Dazed and Confused have been given the task of creating a cover and spread for a new glossy women’s mag. The results will be on show. Other sessions to look out for are Building a Website and Making it Work; Which Covers sell Copies; and Exploit your Brand.

The Forest Futures conference will be on 10 July at the Royal Institution of Great Britain, 21 Albermarle Street, London, W1. The morning session will focus on building bridges between timber growers, the needs of industry and the consumer. The afternoon session will present the technologies developed through research. Finally, Ezio Manzini will give an evening lecture on new patterns of living designed to reduce the unnecessary consumption of energy and materials.
