Butter fingered victors

Winners were so excited with their Design Week awards last week that several lost control of their limbs.

Onlookers were lucky to escape injury as Jasper Jacob dropped his sturdy Daniel Weil-designed brushed steel lightbulb from the winner’s platform. In fact, he was lucky not to break several bones in his own foot.

As the night wore on many recipients seemed to be having trouble controlling their bulbs. There is no truth in the rumour that they were attempting to hit host Melvyn Bragg while making it look like an accident.
