New identity for merging art colleges

Merging art colleges The Surrey Institute of Art and Design, and Kent Institute of Art and Design are in discussions about their future identity as a new arts university college. The pair are poised to submit an application of name change to the Privy Council in order to re-open with a new name on 1 August this year.

A spokeswoman for the colleges confirms they are likely to appoint a design group to create their joint identity.
