Change of style for Bluestone

Plymouth consultancy Bluestone has been appointed by software house Bluestone Software – the name similarity is coincidental – to design a selection of its consumer-facing and Intranet software products. The software company aims to extend its provision of e-business solutions in European, Middle East and African markets.

This is the first time the software company has worked with a design group in the UK. It is keen to expand in this country, and established UK offices in London and Reading earlier this year to build on its customer base in the financial, retail and telecommunications sectors.

‘Companies such as Bluestone Software are increasingly using design in their front-end channels,’ says consultancy managing director Steve Kyffin. ‘The back-end technology is solid, but at the consumer-facing end, design helps improve functionality externally for consumers and internally for employees,’ he adds.

Steve Bale, Bluestone Software senior vice-president, international operations, says the expertise of its new ‘visual integration partner’ will enhance Bluestone Software’s e-business platforms.
