London Zoo is to introduce a major new centre to promote study and understanding of biodiversity. A free creative pitch was used to select designers for the centre’s identity.
Design and advertising consultancy Curio Associates was chosen after a free pitch against five unnamed competitors, to create the identity for the project, called The Web of Life.
The marque works on a life-cycle theme, formed of different animal species. Curio is now working on implementation and advertising campaigns for the centre, which opens in May 1999.
Event, which is developing the exhibition in a building by architect Wharmby Kozdon, was chosen after carrying out previous work on children’s exhibits at London Zoo.
