Germans prove to be big fans of Big Bird

Germany is said to be up in arms over Sir Norman Foster’s plans to replace the eagle which dominates the parliamentary debating chamber in Bonn with a more slender version, as part of his project to restore the country’s pre-war parliament building, the Reichstag. Germans prefer big birds, apparently.
