Knowles opens gallery for women

This week saw the opening of an art gallery for female artists, the Bedale Gallery at London Bridge.

It is the brainchild of Beverley Knowles, who acquired the space in February with the intention of housing her art business Beverley Knowles Fine Art.

Banana Design has been working closely with her on graphics and Web design since the business was launched in 2002, but Knowles refurbished the gallery interiors herself.

The gallery is currently showing work by Marguerite Homer, Klari Reis and Judith Menges, with a percentage of proceeds going to cancer research charity The Shocking Pink Party Appeal.
