Volkswagen’s designers have chosen an unusual route to making the company’s new Beetle model appealing. The dashboard incorporates a vase so the interior can be brightened up with flowers. Less social drivers can, of course, put it to other uses, making up for the fact that modern cars never have big enough ashtrays.
