RCA gets a real pasting

The Government may be actively trying to promote UK design at the moment, but a recent press release from the Department of Trade and Industry seemed to be pushing the subject slightly too far.

The information regarded a speech to be made by trade minister Brian Wilson ‘showing his commitment to the creative industries sector’ at the opening of the Design Focus seminar.

The venue, according to the press release, was the Royal Collage of Art. ‘Obviously, our spell checker didn’t pick it up,’ explains a slightly embarrassed DTI spokeswoman.
