Exhibitions

It’s the luck of the draw at the Royal College of Art’s RCA Secret 2001 from 21-28 November. The exhibition features original postcards by artists including Damien Hirst, David Bowie and RB Kitaj and students from the college. All the postcards are available to buy for £35 each, with the identity of the artist only revealed after purchase. The sale takes place from 8am on 29 November.

Photography as fine art is on show at Painterly Photography until 8 December. Rick Giles, Christopher Bucklow and Tomoko Yoneda are among the artists showing work.

The aesthetic in the world of kebab shops, mini cab offices, laundrettes and the urban landscape are the subjects for photographer Red Saunders at Nearby, Urban Landscape until 28 November.

Contemporary Japanese Jewellery, from 15 November until 13 January 2002, showcases the work of 50 Japanese designer-makers in traditional and contemporary materials. The work has been created in the past 10 years, and charts the trends and changes in jewellery design. It features recycled 19th century love letter necklaces by Yoshie Koba and cut glass rings by Kazuko Mitsushima.
