Plane art tails off

The then Newell and Sorrell’s tailfin designs for British Airways are apparently causing confusion. The Civil Aviation Authority has received two reports that the ethnic image tailfins are not easily identifiable as belonging to BA.

A CAA spokesman says that both reports concerned nighttime confusion when pilots where unable to identify which taxying plane they were supposed to be following. Perhaps future designs should be made using luminous paint and supplied with a guide book.
