A baker’s dozen of projects have been classified as new media Millennium products, in a list unveiled by Prime Minister Tony Blair this week. A total of 1012 designs have now been awarded Millennium Product status.

Johnson Banks’ redesign of Yellow Pages, BBC Television programme Walking With Dinosaurs and the Henson Performance Control System by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop are among the 13-strong selection.

“Creativity and innovation are at the heart of a successful business”, Blair told those at the launch at Skyscape, next to the Millennium Dome in Greenwich, south-east London.

He also announced a new event programme, including international exhibitions, conferences and seminars, using Millennium Products to promote Britain as a modern, creative nation.
