Former FutureBrand creative director Russell James has launched a Birmingham-based consultancy, Illuminative, specialising in corporate branding and financial services.
The consultancy has four staff and James will head up the team as creative director.
Illuminative is currently carrying out ‘large projects’ for a number of clients, says James, including developing a branding financial pack for financial services company Wesleyan Assurance Society and rebranding the exclusive private members’ club One Ten (marque pictured).
Illuminative will open another satellite office in Scotland by next spring, according to James.
‘I hope to win more consumer and automotive clients over time,’ he says.
James left FutureBrand two years ago, but took a year out to travel before deciding to set up Illuminative.
‘This is a first really big step and we are really very excited. The Midlands is deep in a renaissance and going through a transitional period. Illuminative is part of this growing change,’ he adds.
