Slater rejoins Addison from Fishburn Hedges

Fishburn Hedges creative director of five years Michael Slater is to join Addison as creative partner to help the annual report group broaden its offer.

Slater left Addison nine years ago, when he worked in the San Francisco office. He will oversee Addison’s 16-strong studio with Peter Chodel, the creative partner who remained when Addison’s three other creative heads quit to form Browns earlier this year.

“There is a firm foundation to build on and an awful lot more you can do,” Slater says of his new position. He is responsible for corporate identity at Fishburn Hedges.

“We won’t be pitching for ocean going liner-sized corporate identities because that’s Enterprise IG’s thing,” he adds. Addison and Enterprise are WPP stablemates.

Addison managing partner Simon Lake says of Slater: “He has got a very broad range of disciplines, and is a very experienced character, designer and presenter, and a good bloke. There is an opportunity for Addison to broaden its offer.”

Slater takes up the new position in September. Fishburn Hedges is currently interviewing to fill Slater’s position.
