Another Director-killer, this time from Utah-based Strata. It’s MediaForge 2 and at the moment it’s strictly for Windows 95 and NT. Instead of Lingo it uses Visual MediaBasic and has a Web player, Webforge. Its Internet capabilities are said to seriously outdo Macromedia’s Shockwave. Strata has also brought out MediaPaint which allows you to tweak video images over a series of frames for 500.
