Tribal DDB has designed what it claims is the first multiplayer game to sit within an on-line advertisement. The game is part of a Web campaign which launches this week, to promote The Guardian’s Ryder Cup supplement. Trading on the often bitter rivalry between the American and European teams in the Ryder Cup competition, the virtual golf game allows Americans to compete with Europeans on-line. All the advertisements in the campaign receive live updated scores, creating a multiplayer game within the advertising format.
