Congress House, the TUC’s London headquarters, is embracing new technology with a multimedia installation which is based on a video projection promoting the aims of the trade union organisation. Designed by digital media specialist ON101, the multimedia presentation incorporates video and animated text.

Italian design consultancy Garage Comunicazione injects a fresh look to everyday objects by combining them with famous paintings in the 1997/98 catalogue for Milan-based international furniture company Kartell. Project and art directors Renata Prevost and Valerio Castelli plus graphic designer Marion Hauff worked on the project, which took almost a year to complete. Prevost and Castelli claim the paintings ‘become scenery in front of which the products come to life’. What the artists would say about their paintings becoming backdrops to office furniture can only be guessed at.
