All of Us and Dixon Baxi create Russian TV channel

All of Us and Dixon Baxi have been appointed to create a new television channel for Russian media company Kommersant.

Kommersant currently owns two daily newspapers, weekly analysis and economic titles, and a monthly automobile publication. Kommersant TV will be a 24-hour live news and information channel featuring stories about politics, the economy, sports and culture, aimed at business audiences.

All of Us was appointed to create the identity and on-screen design for Kommersant TV last year and has brought in broadcast identity specialist Dixon Baxi to collaborate on the project.

All of Us has previously worked with television channel Sky and Australian television platform Foxtel. Dixon Baxi created Channel Five’s identity in 2009 and has recently worked on projects for Universal Networks International channel Diva Universal and pan-European TV channel 13th Street Universal.

As well as on-screen design, the project will involve working on how the service will operate on interactive platforms such as the iPad and connected TV.

An All of Us spokesman says, ’News will be delivered on screen via a multi-window layout, with an emphasis placed on rich infographics and widgets.’

Audiences will also be able to access up-to-date weather, exchange rate and travel information.
