Claustrophobia builds in Big Brother house

In case anyone is planning on watching Channel 4’s Big Brother this summer for the interior design work rather than the Jacuzzi-based romps and rollicking arguments, you may be interested to learn that the house has been given a makeover by designer Colin Piggott.

Not too pleased with the ‘penal chic’ look of last year, Piggott has reportedly opted for larger rooms decorated in ‘cabin fever’ style, ‘cosier’ wood-panelled rooms and an en suite bathroom to just one of the bedrooms, presumably to maximise the irritability of the contestants.

If this year’s crop are any more annoying than those appearing last year, we’ll give him a medal.
