Foundation 33 stars on breakfast

Foundation 33 has created the identity and on-screen graphics for Rise, the Channel 4 breakfast programme that will replace Big Breakfast by the end of this month.

The consultancy is putting the finishing touches to the design of bumpers, stings and a title sequence, as well as the marque.

‘The programme is to be more informative and fast paced [than Big Breakfast] and it needed an identity that captured that.

‘People will watch 20 minutes or so of the show instead of the full two hours. So we created an identity that could work in those short instances,’ says Foundation 33 managing director Daniel Eatock.

The group, which was appointed in February, won the work following a six-way unpaid creative pitch.

The programme will feature a mix of entertainment, news and sport and will be broadcast daily. Rise is produced by Sky Productions and Princess Productions.
