Waterfall’s Pokia network uses shock-headed tactics

Poke creative Simon Waterfall has contacted Design Week with exciting news of the consultancy’s new technology – the Pokia phone.

Waterfall, pictured, demonstrates how a dusty brown Bakelite handset can be transformed with the addition of a mobile phone on the end of its flex into a two-way intercom not dissimilar to the effect achieved by stringing two baked bean cans together.

Here, he is sending himself a text message, which he is cunningly picking up aurally at the other end.

‘Note to self: must reduce voltage next time to avoid hair standing on end,’ the message reads.
