Briscoe Design joins M&C Saatchi Village

Edward Briscoe Design is to join M&C Saatchi Village, the design and marketing alliance formed by advertising agency M&C Saatchi, and has confirmed a number of new board appointments so as to allay fears of impending management changes (DW 12 June).

Entrepreneur Tony Carson, long-standing design manager Roger Marsden and Briscoe’s daughter Eliza have all been appointed to the board of Edward Briscoe International, Edward Briscoe Design’s parent company.

Consultancy chairman Ted Briscoe has moved to dispel fears that he was being ousted from the company’s board, saying he remains majority shareholder in the company.

M&C Saatchi Village is formed of independent consultancies offering complementary services, with cross-referral of clients occurring when appropriate. Around 25 per cent of M&C Saatchi’s business is referred to its 16 member groups, says Briscoe. Edward Briscoe Design will offer graphics, corporate communications and new media facilities to the Village.

Other design members comprise Smith & Milton Original, The Brand Union, Interbrand Newell and Sorrell, with new media groups Tw2.co and Web Media.
