Bluewater mall selects team

The Design Solution has won a two-way pitch to design mall finishes at Kent’s Bluewater, Europe’s largest shopping centre.

The unpaid pitch was “not just credentials”, according to Design Solution partner Robbie Gill. “We had to talk through our approach to this job, and how we’d tackle it,” he says. Gill is unable to name the competing consultancy.

The Design Solution will be designing floors, balustrading, mall furniture and ceilings for the three malls. These will occupy 25000m2, around two square miles.
