Ito building for the Serpentine

Japanese architect Toyo Ito has been commissioned to create this year’s temporary building at London’s Serpentine Gallery.

The space will be used as a café during the day and for events in the evening, and is expected to open in early July.

In previous years, Daniel Libeskind and Zaha Hadid have designed the structure.
