Just when you thought it was safe…

The design community is on the verge of panic after the third known attack by what is thought to be a well organised anti-design group. The cactus attackers have struck again.

Last October designers at Lloyd Northover Citigate were attacked by a cactus, while the following May saw Landor director Deborah Fitzgerald nearly incapacitated by a wild example. The well organised attack was all the more shocking as Fitzgerald didn’t even hear her stealthy attacker approaching.

The third designer in less than 12 months to fall victim to a prickly assault is Tim Fendley of MetaDesign. He is suffering a head wound after an apparent suicide mission by a cactus in his own home. The cactus, which was previously believed to have been domesticated, is expected to be destroyed.
