L&M’s chemical mix

First Mississippi Corporation has spun off its chemicals business under the newly named company ChemFirst.The name was created by Lippincott & Margulies while Godwin Group in Mississippi came up with identity design.

The logo was designed by Joe Barnes, Godwin Group art director. ChemFirst letterheads and business cards also feature “a ghosted image of the design element”, comments Godwin Group account manager Marc Kuykendall.

Lippincott & Margulies has formed an interactive media arm. The new body is headed up by Peter Geismar, formerly executive producer and chief executive officer of Californian interactive multimedia company Geismar & Groth.
