Conran’s Zinc Bar set to open

CD Partnership is in the final phases of fitting out Conran Restaurants’ latest West End eaterie, the 150-seat Zinc Bar & Grill in Heddon Street.

The bar, opening this week, is dominated by a 12m metal counter which inspired its name.

The interior has an aqueous feel and features glass panels etched with Art Deco designs inspired by René Lalique’s work.

Sir Terence Conran has worked with project architect Tony Martin. It has been conceived as a prototype kit of parts which could be rolled out to other sites. CD Partnership handled the branding which is applied to items such as the matchbox (below).
